Palinopsist
2023
Palinopsia is a visual disturbance causing the abnormal persistence or recurrence of an image after the object is gone. A palinopsist is therefor an individual or event that persists in memory, imprinting upon all aspects of one's present experience.
In this series of digital compositions, organic forms mingle with vibrant geometric motifs against uneven grids, evoking the tension that exists between the foundations of Self, the plasticity of memory, and stark attention to the present.
The final compositions have no defined size, orientation, or order and are meant to be displayed as either as a collection or seperately, according to the viewer's preference.
