I would call myself a failed musician if I had actually bothered to be one. All things considered, I’m probably better off working for musicians instead.
In 2015, after a career of lending my talents to some of the biggest brands in the world, I decided to create my dream job rather than wait for it to happen. As the Creative Director at The Secret Bureau of Art & Design, my specialty is deep collaborations with emerging and established indie artists so they can get noticed and build their audience.
Over the years, I have helped build successful crowdfunding campaigns and album releases for local and internationally touring independent artists. My work has been published in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Boston Pride Guide, and Vanyaland. I am also the Artistic Director of Bust Out Boston, an annual showcase celebrating womxn in Boston music. As a long-time volunteer for Girls Rock Campaign, I believe in the importance of empowering girls and women through music.
Through my work with The 3% Conference, Girls Rock Campaign, and The Record Co., I have become a fierce advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of culture and business. The Secret Bureau is a welcoming, safe place for artists at every career level to explore all aspects of their musical selves.
I can't wait to hear about your next project. Please feel free to drop me a line at jen.e.bergman@gmail.com
